Shanaya is a registered psychologist with experience in working with individuals across the lifespan. She has previously worked extensively in community service overseas to support mental health needs of seniors and caregivers of people with chronic conditions.
Through her recently completed Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology, she has taken a special interest in working with children, adolescents and their parents to support their developmental needs. She has also worked in public educational settings with both families and schools to support children and adolescents in their learning environment.
Shanaya is competent in cognitive and educational assessments as well as ADHD, Autism and behavioural assessments. She is also extremely passionate about providing a neuro-affirming therapeutic space for neurodiverse people with a focus on their unique strengths.
Shanaya also provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioural therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Psychoeducation to people of all ages presenting with various challenges such as depression, anxiety, social anxiety and life adjustment and transition difficulties.
Shanaya provides a person-centred approach that is collaborative, supportive, open, curious and dynamic and which can translate to meaningful change in a person’s daily life.
