Navigating the Adolescent Years
Adolescence is a time of significant change, growth, and self-discovery. It can also bring emotional intensity, uncertainty, and pressure from multiple directions. We provide a space where young people feel heard, respected, and supported as they begin to make sense of themselves and their world.
Our work focuses on helping adolescents develop practical coping strategies, strengthen emotional awareness, and build confidence in who they are becoming. Therapy is guided by their individual needs, supporting both immediate concerns and longer-term personal development.

Emotional Understanding & Regulation
We support adolescents in recognising and managing their internal emotional experiences in ways that feel safe and constructive. This includes learning how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected, and developing skills to respond rather than react in difficult moments.
Building emotional literacy at this stage of life can support resilience, improved decision-making, and healthier relationships with peers, family, and themselves.
Family & Environmental Support
We acknowledge the important role family systems and school environments play during adolescence. Where appropriate, we work collaboratively with parents, carers, and schools to support consistency, understanding, and communication around the young person’s needs.
This approach helps create a more stable and supportive environment, both in and outside of therapy.
Special Needs
We provide supportive, individualised care for neurodiverse adolescents and those experiencing learning or developmental challenges. Our approach recognises individual strengths while also addressing the areas that may create difficulty at school, in relationships, and in daily life.
Support focuses on building self-understanding, confidence, and practical skills to manage emotional regulation, organisation, and social situations. We also aim to strengthen identity and resilience during this important stage of development.
