Michelle Clift
Psychologist and Family Therapist
"Forces beyond your control can take away everything you posses except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning
Michelle is a psychologist and family therapist. Over the past thirty years, she has worked in not-for-profit organisations (disability services), government departments, corporate services (counselling and employee assistance) and private practice. As a senior practitioner, Michelle integrates a range of evidence based therapeutic modalities into her practice including cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, attachment-based therapy, schema therapy and psychodynamic techniques. In order to further enrich and deepen her work with individuals, couples and families, she completed a Master of Family and Systemic Therapy in 2024.
Michelle works with a range of presentations and issues such as life and career transitions, parenting, family and relationships, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, workplace/study stress and personal growth. She has a particular interest in post traumatic growth and evidence based somatic approaches to therapy.
In her time outside of consulting, Michelle loves to spend time with her family and friends, practice yoga, walk in nature and read about psychological and personal development.
