Sarah is a Provisional Psychologist who has a real passion for working with young people and has a depth of experience working with primary school children through to young adults in their early 20's as she finds client's in this age range really respond to her therapeutic approach.
Sarah has a keen interest in working collaboratively with clients to tackle developmental challenges that present themselves at different life stages such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, identity concerns, self-esteem, body image concerns, and academic stress. She is also passionate about providing safe and affirming mental health care to members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
Sarah employs a warm and empathetic approach to therapy, making her clients feel supported and understood. She feels strongly that everyone has an innate desire and ability to reach their full potential and recognises you are the expert in your own (or your child's) life, and works collaboratively to explore barriers that are preventing clients from connecting with their inner strength and making change.
Therapy can be confronting, so Sarah prioritises trustworthiness, a non-judgmental attitide, collaboration, and empowerment. She hopes to provide clients with a safe space to unpack their struggles, gain a deeper understanding of self, and find ways to deal with life's stressors that work best for them.
