Elizabeth has 25 plus years of experience working in government, corporate and private practice organisations. This has provided her with professional experience in a wide range of settings and opportunities to provide psychotherapy to people from diverse backgrounds.
Elizabeth works with adolescents and adults as individuals, couples and groups. She has experience with people recovering from serious trauma including providing counselling services to military veterans with the Veteran and Veteran’s Family Counselling Service (VVCS). She also has extensive experience providing psychotherapy for a range problems including depression, anxiety disorders, stress management, anger management, adjustment issues, grief, pain management and workplace issues including mental health problems as a function of bullying and harassment.
Elizabeth takes a highly collaborative person centered approach to help clients reach their therapeutic goals drawing on a range of evidence based therapies. This includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Self-Regulating Couples Therapy and Hypnotherapy.
Elizabeth is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences (Honors) from La Trobe University, a Graduate Diploma in Counseling (RMIT), a Certificate of Clinical Hypnosis (College of Medical Hypnosis) and an ongoing commitment to her professional development.
