“With many years of experience working with children, adolescence and families it is a privilege to watch children grow with confidence and realise they have the capacity to shine.”

At 4thought Psychology we realise the importance of working with children with early intervention. Childhood is such a formative period in the development of self-concept and self-confidence. We value a child’s rights and are driven to support children to realise their own capacities including:

•  Valuing and respecting themselves as a unique individual.
•
Seeing themselves as individuals, with the right to be treated with respect and kindness by others.

We aim to assist children to understand their emotional world and gain life skills in using their emotions to navigate healthily through life's challenges to build resilience, confidence and an " I can " knowledge of themselves.

The most important relationships we can have is between child and parent.  Because of the significance of this relationship we see working with parents collaboratively as a vital part of the support of children.
