Bianca has worked in private practice, schools and in non-profit organisations with children who are experiencing difficulties as well as their families. She has also worked with adults who have major psychiatric disorders in a public health setting. Bianca has a special interest in gender and sexual identity issues, body dissatisfaction, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and psychosis. Bianca enjoys working with people of all ages and is committed to providing them with effective and respectful services.
Bianca has worked with children with a variety of presentations including: neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder), intellectual disability, trauma history, attachment disruption, sleep disturbance, aggressive behaviours, psychosis, and anxiety (including separation anxiety and school anxiety).
Bianca is skilled in a range of psycho-therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, and Solution Focused approach. In working with adolescents she adopts a systemic approach where, at the discretion of the adolescent, family members and school staff can be involved in treatment. In doing so, the young person is supported across school, home and therapy settings. This typically involves liaising educating family members about mental health concerns and teaching basic coping strategies.
Bianca has worked with adults who have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), depression, drug-induced psychosis, schizophrenia, body dysmorphic disorder, anxiety (including social anxiety) and intellectual disability.
Bianca has experience working with individuals of varying backgrounds, ages, and sexual and gender identities. She is non-judgemental and is committed to creating a safe space where issues can be explored comfortably.
